Web Design Process
Information Gathering
We start with a free consultation to understand your business, what your goals are, and determine what a website needs to do for you. If you already have a website, we will review it and make specific recommendations to better align it with your business goals.
A formal proposal is produced and submitted for your review. This will also include a standard web design contract. Here you can ask any questions with regard the formal agreement, and even make changes if you wish. The contract is standard fare and aims to protect both parties by setting some rules, mitigate misunderstandings, and to layout what is expected from both sides. In other words, to ensure that the work gets done as intended and on time!
Planning
Now the fun part begins. In this stage, we go over details of layout, color, and function. We determine what your website's character ought to project: Serious and elegant, simple but business-like, or perhaps playful and whimsical. You can provide us with two or three examples of websites with styles you may have liked. This is useful to set a general direction, but your website in no way should be a carbon-copy of other people's work.
Design and development
Once we gather your content and images, we start creating the website. This may include custom graphics, stock photography, text copy, or even a logo. We begin coding the site and integrating core features and functions, such as forms, calendars, editors, and so on.
Review and Testing
At different stages of development, you will be able to review the work in progress. You will then have the opportunity to change things if you have new ideas. A fully functional mock-up of the site will be running in our 'staging' area.
Delivery
Once the prototype is complete, and you are 100% satisfied with the website and its functionality, we will install it in the hosting space of your choice. The site will then be connected to your domain name. Additionally, we are able to provide full hosting services, including domain names, IP addresses, and emails, which puts everything under one roof for easy management and support.
Maintenance
Our relationship with our clients does not stop at the end of the project. We strive to ensure that they are continuously satisfied with the end result and the performance of their website.
